Physician Assistant ENT (Otolaryngology)
Position Summary
At ENT Specialists of North Florida and Meier Plastic Surgery we are a well-established and growing ENT (Ear, Nose amp; Throat) practice in the Jacksonville and St. Johns communities committed to delivering superior patient care. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented clinician with strong communication skills and a desire to build long-term patient relationships. The PA will work closely with our board-certified physicians to deliver superior high-quality care.
Tasks for Physician Assistant will include, but are not limited to.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage common ENT conditions (e.g., sinusitis, otitis media, allergic rhinitis, vertigo, tonsillitis)
  • Perform and assist with in-office procedures such as ear cleaning, nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, and minor lesion removal
  • Assist in perioperative care as needed
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (audiograms, imaging, labs)
  • Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and preventive care
  • Collaborate with physicians, audiologists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • On call rotations required
Desired Skills
  • Strong knowledge of head and neck anatomy and physiology
  • Prior experience in ENT, surgery, or primary care preferred
  • Proficiency in ENT-specific procedures and instrumentation
  • Clinical decision-making and diagnostic reasoning
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • Time management and multitasking in high-volume settings
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Valid NCCPA certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
  • Valid License in the state of Florida
  • Prior experience in ENT, or surgical specialty preferred (new grads with strong interest in ENT encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
