Duration: Long Term

Location: Irving, TX- Hybrid

Job Summary

The Technical Product Owner (TPO) is responsible for driving delivery and evolution of the Status Service platform, an enterprise system that transforms raw operational events from Oracle EBS and other upstream systems into standardized, business-level statuses consumed by downstream applications. This role requires a combination of product ownership, technical acumen, and supply chain domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn and operate within a configuration-driven, event-based platform while partnering with engineering teams to define requirements, validate integrations, and ensure accurate representation of complex warehouse and ERP processes. The TPO will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, supply chain operations, and engineering teams, ensuring that system behaviors align with real-world operational workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for Status Service, including prioritization, refinement, and delivery coordination
  • Translate business and operational requirements into detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Develop a working understanding of Status Service architecture, including:
    • Event-driven processing
    • Configuration-driven rules
    • Canonical status derivation
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements align with system capabilities and constraints
  • Validate system behavior against business processes and expected outcomes
  • Interpret and analyze JSON payloads, API contracts, and Swagger documentation to ensure accurate data mapping and behavior
  • Coordinate integration efforts across upstream and downstream systems
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and validate status logic and business rules
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by analyzing inputs (events) and outputs (derived statuses)
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, rules, and system outcomes

Supply Chain / Domain Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of warehouse and ERP processes to ensure accurate system behavior, including:
    • Understanding differences between system-of-record updates vs. inbound data ingestion
    • SKU lifecycle management (including kitting, grading, and transformations)
    • Shipment execution workflows within WMS environments
    • Processing of externally generated sales orders
  • Ensure Status Service logic correctly reflects real-world operational workflows and state transitions

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or Business Systems Analyst role
  • Strong understanding of API-based integrations, including:
    • Reading and interpreting JSON payloads
    • Understanding API request/response structures and Swagger documentation
  • Experience working with event-driven or integration-heavy systems
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and business stakeholders

Domain & Technical Experience

  • Hands-on or functional experience with:
    • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or
    • ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
  • Understanding of:
    • Supply chain transaction flows (orders, shipments, inventory updates)
    • Data flowing into vs. out of enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with:
    • Data transformation concepts (raw input → derived business outcome)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • Familiarity with Azure-based systems or microservice architectures
  • Exposure to configuration-driven platforms or rules engines
  • Experience supporting systems that process high-volume event data
