Job Description
Provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtains patient history and performs assessment.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures. Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Additional Information
• 40 hours per week
• 8 or 12 hour shifts
• 7am - 7pm Weekdays; 8am - 4pm Holidays and Weekends
