Electrical Contractor President – Lead Strategic Growth and Servant Leadership for South Side Electric


Job Overview:

  • Company: South Side Electric, Inc.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $190,000 - $220,000 per year plus Commission.
  • Location: Bloomington, Minnesota (Onsite).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Project Scope: Commercial and Industrial Projects, Multifamily Construction, Senior Housing, Tenant Buildouts, and Fire Restoration.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Master Electrician License.


The Opportunity:

You will serve as the chief executive leader, driving the long-term strategic vision, operational excellence, and financial success of an established electrical contractor. Utilizing a servant leadership style, you will champion a workforce of over 70 professionals while preserving a legacy built on integrity and honesty. Your guidance will directly influence the company's expansion, market diversification, and operational performance across the Twin Cities metro area.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Execute the corporate vision by identifying new commercial and industrial market opportunities across Minnesota.
  • Direct financial performance by monitoring key performance indicators related to margins, cash flow, and labor productivity.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and the development of top industry talent.
  • Oversee large-scale bid pricing and contract negotiations to secure high-value commercial projects.
  • Manage yearly corporate insurance renewals and uphold fiduciary responsibilities regarding 401k fund selections.
  • Drive field operational excellence by maximizing labor utilization and procurement efficiency.
  • Champion a dedicated company-wide safety culture while maintaining full compliance with OSHA standards.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven executive leadership experience within the electrical contracting and construction industry.
  • Extensive background managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical business operations.
  • Strong proficiency in strategic budgeting, financial forecasting, and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated success leading workforce planning, estimating departments, and labor relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and corporate compliance standards.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10 years of related executive and/or Director of Operations experience within the electrical trade.
  • Established professional network and deep knowledge of the Minnesota commercial construction market.
  • Master Electrician designation in the state of Minnesota.
