Hill International is seeking an Electrical Coordinator in Berkeley, California
Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical scope associated with temporary and permanent relocation of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Coordinate electrical work across engineering, construction, operations, facilities, safety organizations, and subcontractors.
  • Lead electrical planning and coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate temporary construction power.
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
  • Support project closeout.
  • Electrical scope definitions for temporary or permanent relocation of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Field-verification records documenting existing electrical infrastructure, cable routing, wireways, conduits, equipment locations, and identified field conditions.
  • Cable catalogs, cable lists, cable-entry forms, equipment identification records, and associated tracking documentation.
  • Lockout/Tagout plans and supporting coordination records.
  • Job Safety Plans, Job Instructions, Work Orders, penetration permits, and construction work packages.
  • Temporary construction-power plans and coordination documentation.
  • Constructability-review findings, job-walk records, pre-job briefing materials, and identified hazard-mitigation actions.
  • Meeting agendas, action-item logs, decision records, and technical coordination summaries.
  • Documentation of field issues, responsible parties, required technical responses, and resolution status.
  • Testing and retesting plans, coordination records, test-readiness documentation, and troubleshooting summaries.
  • Updated drawings, field markups, cable records, as-built information, and other turnover documentation reflecting completed work.
  • Project-closeout records, including confirmation that assigned work packages, approvals, field documentation, and outstanding actions have been completed or formally transferred.
  • Periodic status reports summarizing work performed, upcoming activities, open issues, schedule concerns, safety matters, and actions requiring LBNL attention.

Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Responsible Individual (RI) qualification.
  • Experience coordinating electrical construction activities.
  • Experience supporting industrial, laboratory, institutional, or utility electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical work planning and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to independently coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform routine field work including walking construction sites, climbing ladders, and accessing congested equipment areas.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work execution.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Existing Qualified Electrical Worker qualification.
  • Existing Responsible Individual qualification.
  • Experience supporting accelerator facilities or comparable research facilities.
  • Experience coordinating electrical construction subcontractors.
  • Experience developing LOTO documentation, Job Safety Plans, and construction work packages.
  • Experience coordinating cable management, cable documentation, and electrical infrastructure modifications.

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
