Summary
Are you an experienced claims professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and making a meaningful impact for customers? As a Senior Casualty Claims Representative, you will independently manage moderate-severity Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) claims from investigation through resolution. You'll leverage your expertise in coverage analysis, liability determination, negotiation, and litigation management to deliver fair, timely outcomes while providing exceptional customer service.
In this role, you'll collaborate with customers, attorneys, medical providers, and business partners, using your strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills to navigate complex claim situations. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your work, mentor others, and contribute to a high-performing team committed to delivering outstanding claims service and customer experiences.
What You'll Do
  • Independently manage moderate-severity Bodily Injury and UM/UIM claims from investigation through resolution.
  • Analyze coverage, determine liability, evaluate damages, and negotiate fair claim settlements.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations using statements, reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation.
  • Manage litigated claims and collaborate with attorneys, experts, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  • Identify fraud indicators, subrogation opportunities, and claim exposures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers, claimants, attorneys, and business partners through timely and professional communication.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, manage claim reserves, and meet productivity and quality goals.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What Will Help You Succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years of casualty claims adjusting experience.
  • Completion of the Casualty Claims Training Program.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to assess liability, evaluate damages, and make sound claim decisions.
  • Experience communicating with attorneys, medical providers, customers, and other claim stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Insurance industry designations or claims-related certifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree, associate degree with related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Transparency: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range: $52,100 - $81,500
