Family Service Counselor - Inside Sales Representative
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Family Service Counselor to guide families though one of the most meaningful decisions they will ever make - planning for their final arrangements. Our counselors provide both pre-need (advance planning) and at-need (immediate) support, educating families about their options while ensuring every detail is handled with care, professionalism, and dignity. Compensation: Commission/Hourly rate (Unlimited earning potential)
Job-Type: Full-Time
Location: Rest Haven Memorial Park
Department: Family Services / Pre-Need & At-Need Sales
What You'll Do
  • Educate families about the benefits of pre-planning funeral and cemetery arrangements
  • Meet with at-need families (partnering with a licensed funeral director) to assist with service and cemetery selections.
  • Conduct follow-up calls, outreach, and relationship building within the community
  • Maintain accurate records and manage your sales pipeline
  • Represent the funeral home and cemetery with empathy, integrity, and professionalism - Honesty, Integrity, and Service Excellence are at the heart of all we do
  • Participate in community events, presentations, and workshops
  • Work collaboratively with Family Service, Funeral Directors, Cemetery Grounds, and Leadership Teams

Qualifications
  • Compassionate, patient and service-minded
  • Coachable, goal-oriented, and motivated by both mission and results
  • Strong communicator with the ability to guide families through sensitive decisions
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Comfortable with a consultative sales environment
  • Prior sales experience is helpful but not required - we provide training
  • May require the possession (or ability to obtain) an insurance license as required by applicable law
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual speaking a plus
