Job Description:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to manage and oversee the commission accounting process for multiple sites. This role requires strong judgment, initiative, and coordination across teams to ensure accurate processing, reporting, and issue resolution. This position plays a key role in supporting audits, field operations, and technology use and application. This role supports our Wholesale Accounting department.
Responsibilities:
  • Independently oversee the daily processing of invoices for commission sites, resolving most issues and inquiries through sound judgment and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordination between IT and PDI technology-related system issues, escalating and coordinating resolution with appropriate teams as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and guidance materials for commission accounting tasks and share appropriately with the team.
  • Coordination a standardized form and periodic review to collect all necessary information for setting up new commission sites.
  • Reconcile inventory balances monthly, independently identifying and addressing discrepancies through collaboration and communication with relevant departments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the wholesale field team, providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries and data requests.
  • Manage the majority of audit-related requests, using discretion and escalating to the supervisor as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Experience supervising or managing temporary or project-based staff
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams and technology platforms
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance is Required

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and carry files, binders, and office materials up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, data entry, and handling documents.
  • Visual acuity required to review detailed financial data, spreadsheets, and system reports.
  • Occasional standing, walking, or reaching to access file cabinets, office equipment, or meeting spaces.
  • Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings, which may require clear verbal communication.
  • Capacity to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
