Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.
Job Summary:
The Tint Technician is split between the Leonard Piedmont and the Leonard Anderson sales lots, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for providing professional and high-quality window tinting services for various vehicles, ensuring that each tinting job meets or exceeds the expectations of Leonard clients. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs precise and high-quality window tint installations on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
  • Consults with customers to understand their preferences, explains available options, and provides recommendations for optimal tinting solutions.
  • Cleans and prepares windows thoroughly before the tinting process to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.
  • Safeguards vehicle interiors, including delicate electronic components, during the tinting process.
  • Accurately measures and cuts tinting film to fit vehicle windows using cutting-edge tools and equipment.
  • Applies tinting film using industry-standard techniques, ensuring a seamless and bubble-free finish.
  • Conducts thorough quality checks after each installation to ensure the tinting meets quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Addresses any imperfections promptly and takes corrective measures.
  • Interacts with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Educates customers on proper care and maintenance of tinted windows.
  • Maintains and calibrates tinting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Identifies and reports any equipment issues for timely resolution.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for both employees and customers.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and advancements in window tinting techniques.
