MANTECH seeks a mission-driven and detail-oriented Commercial Logistics Planner to join our team in Oahu, Hawaii.
This role is for a supply chain veteran who can navigate the fast-paced world of commercial logistics while expertly providing decisional advantage to defense clients for the end-to-end orchestration of complex commercial and military global supply chains.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Strategic Network Design: Working with the Defense client, develop and optimize multi-modal transportation strategies (Air, Sea, Road, Project) that fulfill mission goals utilizing the commercial logistics enterprise.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary, onsite knowledge liaison for commercial capabilities and be the trusted advisor to Defense clients to ensure the seamless execution of project plans.
  • Process Engineering: Implement plans and processes that integrate Defense standards and requirements into commercial workflows for compliant networked logistics operations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct proactive bottleneck analysis, construct logistics playbooks and develop contingency plans for geopolitical disruptions or regulatory shifts that impact logistics pipelines.
  • Partner Management: Lead the selection and oversight of 3PLs and carriers for project execution; ensure they meet mission performance KPIs.
  • Data Analytics: Provide actionable insights on commercial network availability and vendor performance to ensure assuredness in mission delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field and 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of managing high-volume, global logistics networks.
  • Solid knowledge of [DOD] defense related logistics, deployments operations, and OEM supply chains.
  • Capable of working in joint, multi-national environments and with geographically dispersed teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Professional designations such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution), or PMP.
  • Familiarity with Defense related operational contract support and deployment processes

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must hold an Active Public Trust clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
