Location: This position can reside in either the Winamac or Carmel office. Must be available to attend initial training in the Carmel office.

Associate Director, Finance Programs & Operations

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Finance Programs & Operations is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of finance solutions that support BraunAbility dealers, customers, and strategic lending partners.

This role serves as a subject matter expert on retail finance program development, aftermarket finance products, retail sales operations, and dealer adoption strategies. Working closely with the Director of BraunAbility Financial Services, this individual will identify market opportunities, develop innovative finance offerings, lead dealer education initiatives, and ensure successful execution across the dealer network.

In addition to external program development, this role provides leadership for portions of the Finance team by serving as an escalation point for complex dealer issues and helping standardize operational processes, allowing senior leadership to focus on strategic growth initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Consumer and Commercial Finance Program Development

  • Develop innovative finance programs that improve vehicle affordability and ownership accessibility.
  • Create programs designed to shorten ownership cycles and increase customer retention.
  • Evaluate market trends, lender capabilities, and competitive offerings.
  • Build business cases supporting new finance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with lenders on program design and implementation.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to successfully launch new programs.

Dealer Strategy & Training

  • Develop dealer education materials and training programs.
  • Conduct finance training at dealer meetings, regional events, and national conferences.
  • Serve as a trusted finance resource for BraunAbility's dealer network.
  • Assist dealers in maximizing utilization of finance programs.
  • Gather dealer feedback to improve future offerings.

Finance Product Expertise

Maintain expertise in products including:

  • Consumer and Commercial Financing
  • Consumer & Commercial Leasing
  • Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC)
  • GAP Protection
  • Tire & Wheel Protection
  • Maintenance Programs

Evaluate additional F&I products as market opportunities emerge.

Dealer Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with dealer ownership and finance managers.
  • Travel to dealer locations and industry events in support of BraunAbility Financial Services.
  • Support strategic dealer initiatives.
  • Assist with complex finance situations.
  • Serve as liaison between dealers and lending partners.

Operational Leadership

  • Provide guidance for finance coordinators and analysts.
  • Resolve escalated dealer issues.
  • Improve team processes.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Strategic Initiatives

Support projects including:

  • Commercial leasing
  • Consumer leasing
  • Digital finance tools
  • Online finance applications
  • Captive finance initiatives
  • Lender integrations
  • Future finance technologies

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years in automotive finance, consumer finance, banking, or dealer finance.
  • Experience developing finance products.
  • Experience presenting to customers or dealer groups.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support objectives.

Preferred

Experience with:

  • Mobility or specialty vehicle markets
  • Consumer & commercial lending

  • F&I products (VSC, GAP, etc.)
