What is a Commercial Modeling job?

A Commercial Modeling job involves working with brands, companies, and advertisers to promote products or services through print, digital, and video advertisements. Commercial models appear in magazines, social media campaigns, TV commercials, product packaging, and billboards. Unlike high-fashion modeling, commercial modeling focuses on relatability and diversity, meaning models of all ages, sizes, and looks can succeed. Strong posing skills, expressive facial expressions, and comfort in front of the camera are essential. Commercial models often work with photographers, marketing teams, and casting agents to bring a brand's vision to life.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Commercial Modeling position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Commercial Modeling, you need a strong portfolio showcasing photogenic qualities, body awareness, and the ability to express a range of emotions for camera and audience appeal. Familiarity with casting platforms, digital submission processes, and, in some cases, posing workshops or modeling certifications can be beneficial. Strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to take direction gracefully are important soft skills for this field. These attributes help models stand out to clients and agencies, ensuring successful collaborations and repeat opportunities in a highly competitive industry.

Is it hard to get into commercial modeling?

Commercial modeling can be competitive, but success depends on factors such as appearance, confidence, and professionalism. Building a strong portfolio, gaining experience through auditions, and understanding industry standards can improve chances of entering the field. Persistence and networking are also important for breaking into commercial modeling.

Do commercial models get paid?

Yes, commercial models typically get paid for their work, with compensation often based on factors such as the type of project, usage rights, and experience. Payments can range from hourly rates to flat fees, and models may also receive royalties or residuals for ongoing use of their images or videos.

What does commercial modeling do?

Commercial modeling involves representing products, brands, or services in advertisements, print campaigns, TV commercials, and online media. Models in this field typically perform photo shoots or on-camera appearances, often requiring skills in posing, expression, and sometimes acting, to promote consumer goods and services effectively.

How much money do commercial models make?

Commercial models' earnings vary based on experience, market, and project scope, with rates typically ranging from $200 to $2,000 per day. Top-tier models or those with specialized skills can earn significantly more, especially for high-profile campaigns or national advertisements.

What does a typical workday look like for a Commercial Model?

A typical day for a Commercial Model can vary widely, but often includes traveling to photo shoots or video sets, collaborating with photographers and creative teams, and participating in fittings or rehearsals. Models may spend significant time preparing their appearance, practicing poses, and adapting to the creative vision of each client. Flexibility is key, as schedules may change with short notice and shoots can last several hours. Additionally, models often handle administrative tasks such as updating their portfolios, attending auditions ('go-sees'), and communicating with agencies or clients. This dynamic environment offers variety but also requires adaptability and strong time management skills.

Job description

About Regenified Regenified was founded in 2022 by the pioneers of regenerative agriculture. Our founders are known and recognised as the leading figures and guardians for regenerative agriculture and its journey to mainstream agriculture. Regenified's purpose is to accelerate the adoption and impact of regenerative agriculture by translating data and intelligence into trusted, unified, and common enablers that power a regenerative economy.

To date, our standards have been approved by the largest grocery chains in the world and we are actively verifying large acres of farmland producing cereals, beef, poultry, eggs and fresh produce. The Role We are seeking a Commercial Lead - Brands & Retail to drive growth across food, beverage, CPG, and retail partners. This is a senior, externally facing role responsible for originating, structuring, and closing strategic commercial partnerships across Regenified's full service offering, including verification, procurement services, and certification.

This role is accountable for selling integrated and standalone solutions to both CPG brands and retail partners, helping them activate regenerative agriculture across their businesses, supplier networks, and product portfolios. You will work with partners to determine the right combination of verification, certified claims, and regenerative procurement pathways based on their business objectives, and sustainability commitments. This is not a transactional sales role.

You are a category builder and trusted advisor, supporting brands and retailers through the commercial and operational realities of regenerative sourcing. You will engage sustainability, procurement, innovation, and executive leadership teams to design partnerships that deliver measurable, verified impact while creating long-term commercial value. Your mission is to grow Regenified's brand and retail portfolio by converting interest into long-term, multi-service partnerships, while deepening and expanding existing relationships over time.

What You'll Do Own Revenue Growth Across Brands & Retail Deliver revenue growth across CPG Brand & Retail partners by selling Regenified's verification, procurement services, and certification. Build and manage a high-quality enterprise pipeline, consistently converting inbound and outbound leads and opportunities into closed revenue that meets or exceeds annual targets. Prospect, Pitch and Close Enterprise Partnerships Identify, develop, and close new enterprise-level Brand and Retail partners, translating sustainability ambitions into contracted revenue.

Represent Regenified at brand- and retail-focused industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate demand, pipeline, and business flow. Clearly articulate Regenified's end-to-end, value proposition, to a broad set of external stakeholders. Lead the full commercial lifecycle, including executive-level pitching, solution design, proposal development, negotiation of all commercial terms, and contract execution.

Structure single-service and multi-service agreements that support scalability, multi-year commitments, and long-term revenue growth. Drive Strategic Account Expansion (in partnership with Customer Success) Grow revenue within existing accounts by expanding verification programs, procurement engagements, and certification adoption over time. Maintain senior executive relationships and lead all commercial strategy, pricing, and negotiation for upsell and cross-sell opportunities, while Customer Success owns delivery, account health, and renewals.

Build Repeatable Commercial Infrastructure Develop and contribute to sales playbooks, pricing frameworks, and commercial models that support predictable, repeatable revenue growth. Ensure disciplined use of CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to track pipeline health, deal velocity, close rates, and revenue performance. What You'll Bring Proven Enterprise Revenue Leadership 7+ years of experience driving revenue in enterprise B2B sales, partnerships, or commercial leadership roles, with clear ownership of revenue targets and complex salescycles.

Demonstrated success closing and expanding multi-year, six- and seven-figure partnerships with CPG brands and/or retail partners. End to End Deal Ownership Deep experience owning the full commercial lifecycle, from prospecting and executive pitching through pricing strategy, negotiation, contract execution, and expansion. Strong command of sales structuring across standalone and bundled service offerings, with the ability to design commercial models that scale over time.

Executive Presence & Market Credibility Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions to senior brand, retail, and sustainability leaders. Confidence representing a company on stage, in executive boardrooms, and at industry events as a credible commercial and thought-leading partner. Strategic & Challenger-Style Selling Brings an insight-first, challenger mindset to enterprise selling - leading with perspective, not product.

You can teach partners something new about regenerative sourcing, verification, risk, or market opportunity that reframes how they think about the problem. Tailor messaging and solutions to different stakeholder priorities across sustainability, sourcing, commercial, and executive teams, aligning Regenified's services to what matters most for each audience. Comfortable taking control of the commercial process - guiding conversations, pushing back when needed, and driving toward clear decisions and outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Able to sell into ambiguity by defining the problem to solve, not just responding to stated needs or RFPs. Builder's Mindset Thrives in a fast-paced, early stage environment where processes, playbooks, and pricing models are still being built. Comfortable creating structure where none exists and continuously improving how the organisation sells and scales.

Mission Alignment & Integrity A deep interest in regenerative agriculture and the role of verification, certification, and procurement in driving systems change. High integrity and comfort balancing commercial ambition with credibility, trust, and long-term partner success. Operational & Commercial Rigor Highly organised and data-driven, with strong pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI discipline.

Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and comfortable using data to manage deal velocity and revenue performance. Industry Fluency Experience selling into food, beverage, agriculture, CPG, or retail sectors, particularly in sustainability, sourcing, or supply-chain-related offerings. Familiarity with sustainability claims, certifications, or regenerative agriculture.

An existing network of potential customers with whom you have active relationships. Success Measures Revenue Performance: Consistent achievement (or outperformance) of annual revenue targets across CPG Brand and Retail partners - evidenced by sustained growth in contract value, verified acres, and adoption of verification, procurement services, and product certification within new and existing accounts. Pipeline Health & Predictability: A robust, well-managed enterprise pipeline with clear sales progression, accurate forecasting, and strong conversion rates across all three services, enabled by disciplined use of CRM and commercial processes to track pipeline health, sales velocity, close rates, and revenue performance with accuracy and transparency.

Multi-Service Adoption: Measurable growth in the number and value of partners adopting multiple Regenified services, demonstrating effective solution selling and long-term partnership design. Enterprise Deal Quality: Execution of well-structured, scalable, and renewable commercial agreements, including multi-year commitments and clear expansion pathways aligned with Regenified's delivery capabilities. Why You'll Love it Here Make a Difference: Your work will directly contribute to healing our landscapes and building a more resilient and equitable agricultural system.

Passionate Team: Work with a great, mission-driven team with shared, unwavering purpose and drive. High-Impact Ownership: This is not a cog-in-a-wheel job. You will have a high degree of ownership and real scope for innovation.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits: We offer competitive pay, unlimited PTO, and 100% premium coverage for medical/dental/vision (with partial coverage for dependants). Career Growth: We invest in your professional development to help you grow with the company.
