Director, Commercial Intelligence

Position Summary:

The Director, Commercial Intelligence serves as a strategic individual contributor within the Demand Center, responsible for translating market, client, and deal-level insights into actionable intelligence that strengthens competitive positioning, improves win rates, and optimizes pricing and commercial strategy.

This role will design and operationalize an integrated commercial intelligence capability-connecting win/loss analysis, voice of the client, competitive intelligence, and pricing insights into a unified, scalable framework. The Director will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that impact revenue performance and growth outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Win/Loss Intelligence
Establish and execute a structured win/loss analysis program to identify drivers of outcomes across deals, including wins, losses, and disengagements, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve sales effectiveness.
  • Lead Voice of the Client (VoC) Insights
Partner with program execution and client health teams to synthesize ongoing client feedback (including NPS and other VoC inputs), identify trends, and highlight opportunities to improve client retention, advocacy, and lifetime value.
  • Build Competitive Intelligence Capability
Design and deliver a repeatable insights engine that provides competitor intelligence, market and product analysis, and sales enablement assets (e.g., battlecards) to strengthen positioning in active pursuits.
  • Drive Pricing Intelligence
Analyze pricing performance, deal structures, and external benchmarks to inform pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, margin, and win probability.
  • Integrate Cross-Functional Insights
Connect insights across win/loss, client feedback, market trends, and pricing into a cohesive commercial intelligence framework that informs go-to-market strategy and decision-making.
  • Establish and Scale Capability
Stand up and continuously enhance the Commercial Intelligence function within the Demand Center, including frameworks, tools, processes, and governance to enable consistency, scalability, and impact.
  • Advise Senior Stakeholders
Deliver clear, concise, and actionable insights to senior leadership, translating complex data into strategic recommendations that support growth priorities, pipeline conversion, and revenue performance.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial intelligence, market intelligence, revenue operations, or commercial analytics within a B2B environment
  • Expertise in at least two of the following areas: win/loss analysis, voice of the client/NPS, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive measurable business impact
  • Experience building and operationalizing programs, frameworks, or capabilities within a matrixed organization
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms; familiarity with third-party tools and data integrations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred, particularly in strategy, analytics, or business operations

What You'll Bring:

  • A highly analytical, insight-driven mindset with a strong orientation toward outcomes
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement
