This is not a role where you'll spend years watching from the sidelines.

You'll work directly with experienced Superintendents, help manage large commercial concrete projects, and gain the hands-on experience needed to run your own projects in the future. Leadership believes in developing people from within, giving you real responsibility—not just paperwork.

Flexible Home Base

Candidates may live within a reasonable commute of either:

  • Charlotte, NC

  • Charleston, SC

Project assignments will vary based on workload. You'll support commercial concrete projects throughout the Charlotte and Charleston regions, so flexibility to travel to active job sites is important.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations on commercial concrete projects.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries.

  • Monitor project schedules to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Promote and enforce company safety procedures.

  • Participate in daily planning meetings and coordinate with Project Managers.

  • Assist with scheduling inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.

  • Build strong relationships with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and field personnel.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Foreman, or similar leadership role with a commercial concrete contractor.

  • Experience with commercial concrete construction, including slabs, foundations, tilt-up, podium, or structural concrete.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel to projects throughout the Charlotte and Charleston markets as business needs dictate.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
