Social Media Content Specialist - Sports
The Certified Collectibles Group is seeking a Social Media Content Specialist - Sports to join our fast-paced, highly collaborative media team! CCG is the world's leading provider of expert and impartial services for collectibles, including coins, banknotes, comic books, magazines, TCGs, sports cards, video games, home video and more. This role owns social execution for two of our most acclaimed brands, CGC Cards and James Spence Authentication (JSA).
As a Social Media Content Specialist for CGC Cards & JSA, you will help drive our brand presence across platforms through compelling, customer-focused content. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes sports culture. This person is a multi-skilled content specialist with a sharp eye for engaging storytelling, monitoring and adapting to trends and algorithm shifts, and developing a distinct social brand voice. Your responsibilities will include growing our social media presence, owning the social media content calendar, posting and scheduling content, supporting the Social Team and Marketing Managers, managing communities, and providing valuable insights.
This is a remote position, but within driving distance to our Sarasota, FL, headquarters is preferred. Monthly travel may be required to our JSA locations in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Parsippany, NJ. In addition, travel may be expected on occasion for conventions, trade shows, and other industry events, which may include weekends. The ideal candidate has familiarity within and passion for sports and pop culture collectibles.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SPECIALIST - SPORTS
Content Creation & Execution
  • Ideate and create static and dynamic content, in collaboration with Social Team, to support key content pillars established by Social Media Senior Manager
  • Brief and collaborate with graphics and production teams to implement ideas efficiently
  • Write high-performing social media copy, paying attention to brand tone and SEO opportunities
  • Organize social assets and maintain social content calendar
  • Work with Comics and Numismatics Social Media Specialists on collaborative content opportunities

Social Page Management
  • Owning content planning, scheduling, publishing, and optimization across platforms for CGC Cards and JSA
  • Partner closely with Cards and JSA marketing stakeholders to align social content with brand priorities, campaigns, and business objectives
  • Maintain content calendars and workflows for Cards and JSA, ensuring deadlines are met and cross-functional inputs are incorporated efficiently
  • Translate complex or niche collectible knowledge into accessible, engaging posts for diverse audiences
  • Use platform analytics and engagement date to optimize content types, post timing and creative decisions
  • Collaborate with Social Community Coordinator to engage with comments, direct messages, mentions, and tags
  • Build authentic relationships with sports collectors, creators, and members of the community and seek out opportunities to amplify brand presence via social page monitoring and engaging (i.e. on FYP)

Trend Monitoring & Implementation
  • Proactively monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats (especially within CapCut & Edits) across Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X to identify timely opportunities relevant to collectibles audiences and share with Social Team
  • Stay fluent in creator-led and community-driven trends within the collectibles space, especially in TCGs and sports, to ensure content feels current, credible, and culturally relevant
  • Translate trends into brand-aligned, original content concepts that align with business goals and platform best practices

Event Coverage & Field Work
  • Travel occasionally to cover industry trade shows, grading activations and collector events, producing timely content on-site for real-time and follow-up use

WHAT MAKES YOU THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in social media content creation and publishing
  • Deep understanding of, and ability to utilize, unique features & capabilities within social focused editing software, including CapCut, Edits, and Canva
  • Ability to capture and/or edit video content into social-friendly formats
  • Expert-level knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and Reddit
  • Strong social copywriting skills with a proven track record of high engagement
  • Ability to represent brand voice well and adapt to different brand tones
  • Expert level knowledge of sports culture and sports collectibles
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance optimization
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel for on-site content capture

Preferred skills:
  • Experience working with content calendars, and social management or scheduling software (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout, Sprinklr, Meltwater, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Comfortability with conducting and/or appearing on livestreams or pre-recorded content
  • Comfortable working with AI tools to optimize workflow
