Job description

ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company delivering innovative solutions to customers worldwide guided by our core values, Impact, Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

In preparation for an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a Plate Hub Coordinator to job our team! This role coordinates the day-to-day plate room operations. This plate room generates flexographic plates for our Menasha plant, as well as sister plant locations. This position will serve as the customer service contact for all plants within the plate hub. They coordinate between Prepress, Plate Supplier, and Production according to the current print schedule. They are responsible for the entire plate making coordination, including the set-up from the receipt of electronic files or any other pre-press items generated externally to the delivery of internal or external finished plates.

What you will do

  • Foster a safe work environment and lead by example, adhering to and enforcing all safety and regulatory procedures. Promptly acting on unsafe situations.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to ensure the plate making team produce orders accurately and on time.
  • Follow procedures for proper handling, labeling, storage, and use of various types of products and chemicals.
  • Coordinate all plate hub activities including by not limited to:
    • Customer service and order intake for sister plants and back up other hubs as needed
    • Hub production schedule and setting job priority
    • Ensure optimal plate layout utilization, the accuracy of job billing and plate invoices
    • Material inventory control
    • Preparing graphic package (DRO jackets) for pressroom
  • Have willingness to work occasional overtime and variable work hours to support 24/7 operations

Education / Professional Background

  • Associates degree related to printing or graphic arts; or equivalent work experience in related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in artwork, color separation, flexographic printing, and customer service preferred.
  • Skilled in using software such as Adobe Illustrator, Esko DFS Manager, and Microsoft Office
