Job Description

Attain Partners is seeking a Principal Collibra Architect (Ranger) to lead enterprise data governance and data intelligence implementations for higher education, nonprofit, public sector, and commercial clients. This role will serve as both a hands-on Collibra solution architect and trusted client advisor, responsible for designing scalable governance operating models, configuring Collibra platform capabilities, advising on stewardship and metadata management practices, and helping clients turn data governance strategy into practical, adopted solutions. The ideal candidate can bridge business and technical stakeholders, lead implementation teams, define best practices, and position Collibra within a broader data ecosystem that may include cloud data platforms, integration tools, ERP, CRM, reporting, data quality, lineage, and AI governance use cases.

Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience leading Collibra implementations with strong understanding of Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including data catalog, business glossary, operating model, communities, domains, assets, responsibilities, workflows, policies, and stewardship processes.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable Collibra operating models aligned to client governance goals. \
  • Experience translating business data governance needs into Collibra configuration, workflows, metadata models, roles, responsibilities, and adoption plans.
  • Strong client-facing consulting skills, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, executive communication, and workshop facilitation.
  • Ability to lead data governance implementation workstreams from strategy through configuration, testing, rollout, and adoption.
  • Experience integrating Collibra into broader enterprise data environments, including CRM, ERP, data warehouse, lakehouse, BI/reporting, MDM, data quality, and integration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management, data ownership, stewardship, data quality, lineage, issue management, and data governance operating models.
  • Ability to mentor junior consultants and provide quality assurance across Collibra deliverables.
  • Strong documentation skills, including solution design documents, governance playbooks, process flows, RACI models, configuration guides, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Ability to support pre-sales pursuits, solution estimates, proposal development, delivery approach, and client presentations.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in higher education, nonprofit, healthcare, public sector, financial services, or other complex regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Workato, or APIs used to connect metadata and business processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or modern lakehouse/data warehouse architectures.
  • Experience creating reusable Collibra implementation accelerators, templates, standards, and delivery playbooks.
  • Strong change management and adoption experience, including stakeholder engagement, training, communications, and governance rollout planning.
Years of Experience
  • 8+ years of overall experience in data governance, data management, metadata management, data architecture, analytics, or enterprise data consulting.
  • 5+ years of experience designing or implementing enterprise data governance programs, 3+ years of hands-on Collibra implementation experience.
Certifications
