Job description

SUMMARY OF JOB

The Facilities Janitor is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the office and manufacturing areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
  • Vacuum all carpeted surfaces.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Dust/wipe down all surfaces.
  • Clean all restrooms.
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Maintain and stock supply rooms and bathrooms as needed.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Two (2) + years janitorial experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • No college degree is required for this position but would be helpful in the advancement opportunity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
