As a Utility Construction Technician-Laborer in the Eatonton, GA area, you’ll be on the front lines performing essential tasks that directly support our operations and make an impact in the community. This role requires flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call emergencies. This role requires an active Collections and Distributions license in the state of Georgia. 

The starting hourly pay is dependent upon experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Repair and maintain water, wastewater, and drainage facilities
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and perform lawn, gardening, and general site maintenance
  • Handle dirt and gravel work, and manage inventory of parts and maintenance supplies
  • Clean office areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, trash removal, and bathroom/kitchen upkeep; perform all other duties as required

What We Need from You

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record; CDL would be a plus
  • Georgia Collections and Distributions License required
  • Experience working around underground utilities or in the construction environment is required
  • Ability to follow manuals and operating instructions, performing routine maintenance/repairs, and operating tools such as jackhammers and saws
  • Knowledgeable in process control, maintenance procedures, and safety practices; comfortable working around water and raw sewage
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to contribute positively to team and customer interactions
  • Attention to detail, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality results
  • Physically capable of lifting 50–80 lbs, moving equipment, accessing confined spaces, and walking/climbing continuously
