Job description

We are looking for ​an Accounts Receivable Collections specialist to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding balances owed to Coash Court Reporting & Video (CCRV) by law firms and legal clients. This remote, part-time role works closely with the Collections/Production Manager and interfaces directly with the Solaria collections platform to track aging accounts, initiate outreach, process payments, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate brings professionalism, persistence, and attention to detail to every interaction — consistent with The Coash Way.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and work aging A/R reports in Solaria to identify and prioritize past-due accounts

• Contact clients via phone and email to resolve outstanding invoice balances in a professional, firm, and courteous manner

• Document all collection activity, communications, and payment arrangements in Solaria

• Process and post payments; communicate discrepancies to the Production/Billing team

• Escalate unresolved or disputed accounts to the Collections/Production Manager per CCRV protocol

• Review invoices for accuracy prior to collections outreach; coordinate with Transcript Production on billing disputes

• Generate and distribute aging reports as directed

• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with CCRV policy and legal industry standards

• Assist with special billing projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or billing — legal or professional services preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with direct client conversations

• Proficiency with billing/collections software; experience with Solaria or similar platforms a plus

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Knowledge of legal billing terminology and invoice formats preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
