Job description

Are you a strong problem solver who enjoys helping customers and resolving complex issues? We're looking for a Collections Representative to join our team and play a key role in partnering with customers to resolve invoice disputes, improve payment outcomes, and deliver an excellent customer experience.
This is not a high-volume call center collections position. Instead, you'll focus on investigating account issues, responding to customer inquiries, collaborating with internal teams, and finding solutions that help customers pay accurately and on time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Utilize problem solving and critical thinking skills to determine root cause of aging invoices
  • Leverage systems functionality and established processes to resolve aging invoices
  • Work within established procedures and adheres to quality guidelines
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members and/or leadership
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers, maintain open lines of communication and build rapport by providing timely and professional service
  • Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of collections process
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of collections, cash applications, credit, accounts payable or related finance experience

Preferred:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Effective and flexible communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to use own judgement and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, professional, and deadline driven environment
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
