STORMWATER & WASTEWATER COLLECTIONS SUPERINTENDENT

Stormwater & Wastewater Collections Superintendent
Salaried: $80,731.76/year; 2080 hours/year
Closing Date: Until Filled

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or other education and training equivalent to four (4) years of college education in utility construction and maintenance, engineering or a closely related field, supplemented by eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in water/sewer/stormwater utility system operations and maintenance, three (3) of which have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

The Stormwater & Wastewater Collections Superintendent coordinates, supervises and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s wastewater/water/stormwater systems, and performs other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required. Work includes the necessary divisional administrative functions, coordination and supervision of utility system installation, maintenance and repair activities, as well as the supervision of subordinate supervisors, team leaders, equipment operators and maintenance staff. The Stormwater & Wastewater Collections Superintendent remains on-call to assist the night crew and the weekly assigned on-call crew during utility emergencies or severe weather events. The Stormwater & Wastewater Collections Superintendent reports to the Field Services Manager.
