Performs specialized work with lead worker responsibilities directing a small crew in the operation and maintenance of a TV inspection/sealing unit, combination vacuum hydraulic truck, lift station cleaning, and manhole assessment/repairs. Directs the work of Infiltration and Inflow Technician I's and Utility Maintenance Workers in maintaining/photographing/cleaning/inspecting/repairing a large wastewater collection system using specialized equipment. Work is performed under the direction of a Utility Crew Chief/Supervisor/Superintendent through visual inspections and results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Infiltration and Inflow Technician I.
Necessary Special Requirements : Must possess the following at time of application:
1. A valid Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) Class B Wastewater Collection Certification/Water Utilities Department recognized equivalent (copy of Certification must be uploaded to online application by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date) AND
2. A valid FL Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE : Leading/supervising others; working in water distribution systems; using work order systems. Also desirable: Minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours) in Sanitary Sewer System Engineering; current National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Certification, completion of Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP), or Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP).
