Job description

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support clinical operations at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will work alongside registered nurses and physicians to deliver direct patient care, administer medications, and support chronic disease management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications with accurate documentation
  • Perform vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection
  • Assist with sick call triage and patient intake screening
  • Support chronic care clinics by collecting data and documenting outcomes
  • Monitor patients for adverse medication reactions
  • Maintain medication storage areas and support pharmacy inventory
  • Document nursing interventions in the BOP electronic health record
  • Adhere to BOP security protocols and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of accredited LPN/LVN program
  • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin LPN license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
