Sr. Product Line Manager

Salary Range: $130,000.00 To $180,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

The Senior Product Line Manager is responsible for driving Lantronix's Industrial IoT connectivity & Edge AI compute, security & surveillance and critical asset monitoring products, services and solutions. This role owns product strategy, roadmap execution, lifecycle management, business performance, and go-to-market leadership across a portfolio of Industrial IoT technologies. The position requires close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, customers, ecosystem partners, and industry experts to develop differentiated solutions and drive sustained business growth. This is a highly strategic product leadership role requiring a strong combination of technical expertise, business acumen, market knowledge, and customer engagement. Experience with Industrial IoT, Enterprise Connectivity, Edge AI, Security & Surveillance, Critical Asset Monitoring, and related technologies is essential.

Job Responsibilities
  • Translate company business strategy into a differentiated product line strategy for Industrial IoT connectivity & Edge AI compute, security & surveillance and critical asset monitoring products, services and solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle, from cradle to grave, involving business case development, pricing, margin management, portfolio rationalisation, and end-of-life planning.
  • Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for 5G/LTE enterprise connectivity (routers, gateways, private networks, FWA) in close collaboration with engineering, operations, sales and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with Marketing to fuel demand generation by personally driving the creation of high-impact collateral: datasheets, solution briefs, battlecards, competitive positioning, demos, presentations, white papers, ROI calculators, and web content.
  • Set the standard for clear, differentiated, customer-facing messaging.
  • Engage directly with customers throughout the sales cycle and post-sale.
  • When customers encounter technical issues, act as the escalation quarterback, bringing in the right engineering, support, and solutions resources to drive resolution and feed root causes back into product requirements.
  • Drive requirements and go-to-market for video security, surveillance, and Edge AI/computer-vision and physical AI offerings, including on-device inference, AI accelerators and cloud/edge orchestration.
  • Define solutions for remote monitoring of critical infrastructure and high-value assets, condition monitoring, telemetry, predictive maintenance, out-of-band management, and fail-safe connectivity for the industrial segment.
  • Drive integrations and promote interoperability with cloud platforms and third-party software solutions to extend the value and reach of the product line.
  • Engage customers, ecosystem partners, and industry experts to understand pain points, uncover market insights, and continuously iterate on messaging and positioning.
  • Drive customer success, strong product margins, and sustained growth of key product metrics (revenue, design wins, attach rates, recurring revenue).
Education and Experience
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related. MBA Preferred.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in product line management with demonstrated success launching and scaling technology products.
  • Deep Industrial IoT domain expertise including Cellular (4G LTE, LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G), Enterprise Connectivity, Wi-Fi, BLE, GNSS, Ethernet, and industrial wired interfaces.
  • Experience with Edge AI, edge computing, industrial gateways, critical asset monitoring, predictive maintenance, and remote operations solutions.
  • Experience with security and surveillance systems, Video Management Systems (VMS) and IoT data platforms.
  • Preferred industrial background in Industrial automation, telematics, manufacturing, energy, transportation, smart infrastructure, building automation, critical infrastructure or related industrial technology markets.
Qualifications and Skills Required qualifications and skills include, but are not limited to:
  • Strong knowledge of device lifecycle management, OTA updates, fleet management, cybersecurity, and secure onboarding.
  • Strong business acumen with experience building product roadmaps, promotional collateral, market analyses, pricing strategies, and growth plans.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and partner-management skills.
  • Ability to influence globally across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of 5G/LTE (public and private networks), IoT security frameworks (zero trust, secure boot, device identity), video/surveillance architectures, and Edge AI toolchains and inference workloads.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business case skills: comfortable conducting market research, developing compelling use cases, performing competitive and financial analyses, and forming independent convictions about future product direction.
  • Ability to comfortably present before diverse audiences, in technical and executive briefings.
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10-20%) to support customers, partners, and industry events.
Preferred qualifications and skills include, but are not limited to:
  • Experience taking connected hardware + SaaS/managed-service products to market (device + platform + recurring revenue models).
  • Familiarity with carrier and regulatory certifications (PTCRB, FCC, operator approvals) and industrial standards and protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT).
  • Existing relationships within the Twin Cities / Upper Midwest industrial, utility, and transportation ecosystem.

Annual Base Salary: $130,000 - $180,000. Bonus Potential Percent: 12.5%
