Job description

Position Summary

Gustave A. Larson Company is the Midwest, Plains, and Mountain States leading wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, parts, and supplies. Our business philosophy is to focus on serving the needs of our customers, with a value-added, professional and enthusiastic attitude. The primary objectives of this position are to determine and satisfy customers’ needs by providing a value added services and solution approach for areas of development.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for all aspects of customer and sales force support for Refrigeration products as well as new product selection and launch support.
  2. Partner with Marketing to develop collateral material aimed at increasing Refrigeration product sales and create new and innovative tools aimed at gaining market share.
  3. Assist in development of training and sales presentation materials for the sales force.
  4. Conduct proactive calls to customer base to mine existing data for untapped opportunities, explore markets and customers for new opportunities, develop customer relationships, and uncover customer pain points.
  5. Collaborate with the Territory Managers, Customer Experience Representative, Proposal Specialists, and Store Managers to educate customers on new marketing incentives, products, and services available through Larson.
  6. Prepare reports for segment business leader to determine areas of market share and customer share of wallet opportunities.
  7. Elevate professional growth and development in continued education industry programs.
  8. Represent Refrigeration Segment and Company at vendor sponsored product and technical training classes.
  9. Job site and customer visits; up to 30% travel can be anticipated.

Qualification Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Technical degree or Certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration systems, suppliers, manufacturers, and competitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others in the selling principles of Refrigeration products and solutions.
  • Ability to develop collateral material to support Refrigeration product line with the use of former Refrigeration application experience and knowledge.
  • CRM software experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL).
