Job Description

We are seeking a high-caliber product marketing leader to own the commercial narrative for our Health Systems and Biobanks Solutions business. Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing, this is a high-leverage position for a strategist who excels at the intersection of precision health, advanced technology, and AI-augmented modern marketing. We don’t just market AI-enabled solutions —we market with AI. We expect you to show up already doing the same.

This market is undergoing a powerful convergence driven by the explosion of multi omics data and the rapid maturation of AI-driven discovery to fuel mission critical initiatives such as Precision Population Health and personalized care. As these market forces collide, the ability to integrate multi-omics and multi-modal data has proven to be a significant unlock in delivering more personalized care as well as a growth engine for the industry.

At DNAnexus, you will be on the leading edge of this transformation. You will work closely and collaborate with the GM, business team, sales, and marketing teams to engineer, execute, and measure a world class integrated marketing plan.

This role is designed for a high-impact, collaborative leader who is always evolving—someone who brings deep health systems expertise and pairs it with a relentless drive to leverage AI and emerging technologies to move faster, think sharper, and execute at an elite level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Plan Ownership: Architect and drive the end-to-end integrated marketing strategy for our Health Systems Solutions business, ensuring commercial initiatives remain tightly aligned with business unit and corporate P&L goals.
  • Budget Stewardship: Manage marketing budget, prioritizing high-impact campaigns, messages, events, and investments that maximize ROI.
  • Executive Partnership: Serve as a core advisor for Health Systems and Biobank markets, customers, and solutions to the SVP and cross-functional business leadership team, providing data-driven recommendations on market trends, competitive shifts, and resource prioritization.
  • Customer Knowledge: You will be the subject matter expert on Ideal Customer Persona (ICP) for the business, understanding their key pain points and associated use cases, as well as they do. You will champion those insights internally, aligning the commercial organization on key messaging, insights, and campaigns that drive maximum impact.
  • AI-Powered Marketing Excellence: From content production and market intelligence to campaign optimization and competitive analysis, you are on the leading edge of operationalizing AI responsibly and strategically as a force multiplier to the impact of your work.
  • Content & Enablement Excellence: Own the creation of elite sales enablement materials and content that empower our global teams to effectively activate our solutions value across the customer lifecycle—leveraging AI-assisted content workflows to increase velocity without sacrificing quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the strategic bridge between Product, Sales, Business, Marketing and Communications and Customer Success, ensuring that the Health Systems commercial narrative is seamlessly integrated into every stage of the customer journey.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive product marketing experience, with at least 3+ years in SaaS/Platform technologies, including AI-enabled solutions. Demonstrated expertise in modern, AI-augmented marketing approaches.
  • Deep Domain Expertise: Significant experience within Health Systems, with a working knowledge of the Omics landscape, clinical research labs, R&D, Biobanks, technology platforms, and population health.
  • AI Fluency: Demonstrated, hands-on experience leveraging AI tools (generative AI, predictive analytics, automated content platforms) to accelerate marketing output and improve commercial outcomes.
  • Executive Presence: Proven track record of influencing SVP and C-suite stakeholders through sophisticated strategy and clear communication.
  • Fiscal Acumen: Experience managing or directing marketing budgets with a keen eye for optimizing spend, articulating value, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic Leadership: A self-starter who excels in highly collaborative environments that can drive and reinforce organizational alignment around key initiatives.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

What Sets You Apart

  • The Hybrid Expert: You possess a rare background that seamlessly integrates deep domain knowledge across Health Systems, Biobanks, clinical research, and technology, with elite AI-native marketing capabilities that set you apart. AI isn’t something you’re “adopting”—it’s already woven into how you work.
  • A Groundbreaker: You are a pioneer at heart, unafraid to tackle the breadth of this role, take calculated risks, and challenge the status quo to deliver exceptional results.
  • High-Trust Leadership: You build unwavering trust with teammates, customers, and executive stakeholders by consistently doing the right thing even when it’s hard.
  • Radical Accountability: You take full ownership of your strategic roadmap, your budget allocation, commitments to colleagues, and your results within this high-visibility role.
  • Innate Curiosity: You are naturally driven to dig deeper into the “why” behind multi-omics data trends  and what drives our customers and ICPs. You take a journalistic approach to get the story and stay ahead of AI breakthroughs not as an observer but as a practitioner—constantly testing, building, and finding the competitive edge.
  • High-Growth Agility: You have a demonstrated track record of success in fast-paced environments, balancing long-term strategic planning with the agility required for rapid execution.
  • Analytical Rigor: You possess strong analytical capabilities and a fundamental comfort with data-driven decision-making to justify marketing spend and prove commercial impact.
