Planet Technologies, the Nation's leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Modern Workplace Collaboration Consultant. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that benefit our country.
 
We are seeking a candidate to join our Modern Workplace Collaboration Team to help our clients enhance productivity with a concentration on workplace solutions. This role involves consulting, designing, developing, configuring, and deploying SharePoint and other Microsoft solutions. The successful candidate must have experience with Office 365, including Copilot, and be able to articulate business transformation using the Microsoft Cloud. The candidate should demonstrate excellence technically, professionally, and in areas related to customer engagement.
Requirements
  • Possession of an aptitude for learning - a (minimum) bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or 5+ years of comparable experience. Continued upskilling is required to include relevant Microsoft certifications.
  • This position requires staying current with the latest trends and best practices in modern workplace solutions utilizing SharePoint, Copilot, and the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Communicate advanced knowledge of Office 365 collaboration stack: experience in SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Groups, OneDrive, and Teams planning, implementation, migration, security, and governance.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, including Microsoft Office 365 native modules and community modules such as PNP and PowerShell.
  • Ability to interface with clients with technical ability and professionalism, including understanding the business goals and workflows and providing recommendations to enhance collaboration, productivity, and security.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully work on and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, either independently or within a small team, with the ability to proactively problem solve, identify, and address client's needs.
  • Understand enterprise-scale systems built on Microsoft technologies, both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience migrating file shares, SharePoint, and cloud-based file repositories to Office 365.
  • Must be comfortable with some level of travel if needed. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a technology consulting firm or software product company
  • Working familiarity with the Microsoft Azure platform, including Entra ID
  • Experience with all aspects of a Modern Intranet, ranging from envisioning, design and implementation.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft VIVA suite is preferred
