A growing nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Development to lead its fundraising function and deepen its roots in the community. This individual will build and manage a robust donor pipeline, oversee grant writing, and serve as the public face of the organization's philanthropic mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations
  • Lead grant identification, writing, and reporting processes
  • Organize and oversee fundraising events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing to build community awareness and brand affinity
  • Prepare and present development reports to the Board of Directors
  • Manage and mentor a development team
Ideal Background:
  • 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience
  • Demonstrated success growing donor bases and managing major gift portfolios
  • Experience with CRM/donor management platforms (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce Nonprofit)
  • CFRE certification a plus
