Role:
At Death Wish Coffee, the role of a Production Associate helps us continue success right where it all begins the making of our bold, caffeinated coffee blend. Our Production Associates are responsible for performing day-to-day production responsibilities including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing, building shipment boxes, and operating machinery.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the weigh and fill coffee packing machine
  • Count and or fill coffee into bags, fold bags, seal bags, apply stickers, and ensure correct lot and date codes are on every finished item.
  • Build and prep boxes for the shipment of our coffee
  • Properly palletize product to prepare for shipment
  • Confirm all quality specs are printed properly on packages
  • Fill out and maintain quality control forms
  • Clean and sanitize all machines and contact surfaces daily in accordance with food safety standards
  • Stock supplies
  • Keep workspace cleaned and organized; sweep, mop, remove debris and take out trash
  • Remove waste material from machine.
  • Prep work area for next shift
  • Death Wish Coffee is a highly collaborative team environment so employees may be required to performs other duties, as assigned, in order to help meet goals and objectives of the production facility
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Follow all food safety requirements, rules, and standards

Physical Demands:
  • The work will require the ability to move coffee sacs, operate lifts, work with heavy machinery and stand for most of the day as well as the ability to frequently bend, walk, and safely lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate. Employee must have specific vision abilities including the ability to use close vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as see things far away
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions

Work Environment:
  • The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines and heavy equipment. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
  • Current working conditions are mostly indoors in a warehouse and production facility.

Schedule:
  • This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 10:00AM EST - 07:00PM EST
  • Hours/days of work may vary depending on emergencies, business needs, shift hour changes or other events. May be asked to arrive early or stay late.
