ABOUT US:

Groundwork Coffee specializes in batch-roasted, certified organic coffees and artisanal teas. A truly local pioneer in fair trade coffee and tea, we remain committed to sustainable business practices. This includes maintaining direct relationships with growers and importers who promote responsible coffee and tea production. Thanks to the neighbors and friends we've been fortunate enough to serve, we have opened 14 cafes along the West Coast, have two very busy Roasteries in Portland and Los Angeles, and produce a growing line of delicious cold brew coffees.

About You:

We are looking to hire a high-energy, efficient, and tenaciously thorough Production Assistant to join our growing team. As a Groundwork Production Associate, you will be exposed to various facets of coffee roasting operations as you process, label, and prepare packaging for shipment from within our Roastery. Pay Rate:

$18.00/hour - $19.00/hour

Schedule:

Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays - 7 am - 3:30 pm


What You'll Do:

  • Blend, grind, and stock roasted coffee
  • Fill, weigh, and seal bags of coffee
  • Operate and maintain packing, sealing, weighing, and blending equipment
  • Stock warehouse shelves
  • Print, label, stock, and maintain inventory of all packaging items
  • Ensure packaging meets quality standards
  • Maintain well-organized supply areas
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workstation throughout the day
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Warehouse and Production area

What It Takes To Rock This Role:

  • Positive, Friendly, Tenacious Attitude Required!
  • Able to bend, twist, lift, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Stand comfortably for 8 hours a day.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Able to deal skillfully and promptly to new situations
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Open to changes; learns quickly when facing new/unfamiliar tasks or challenges
  • Coffee Industry experience is a plus
