JOB TITLE: Barista - Retail Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Generous Cafe - Food Service
REPORTS TO: Generous Cafe Supervisor
STATUS: Non-Exempt, Hourly
HOURS: Part Time (20)

Your passion:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving generously through food and retail. You will be interacting with the entire body of Calvary Chapel, its staff, the congregation, and the public at large.
This position performs any activity necessary to operate the Generous Café while providing excellent service to any guest of the Generous Café and Bookstore. This includes making drinks, serving food, answering questions and offering suggestions regarding our retail merchandise, operating cash registers and assisting in any sales.

You will:
  • Exhibit excellent guest service
  • Be required to complete all necessary training as provided by management/trainers
  • Operate POS system: cash, credit and gift card handling
  • Safely handle equipment and tools provided
  • Brew coffee
  • Make various specialty drinks accordingly with recipe book
  • Perform opening and closing side-work
  • Continue to develop your drink/ food / retail knowledge
  • Receive and price merchandise as it arrives checking for accuracy and damages against invoices or packing slips
  • Maintain the café and bookstore to meet quality and health standards

What you are required to know:

Work Schedule:
Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events. This is a requirement for all Food Services staff to work The Gathering, Easter, Mother's Day, Kids Conference, YE Conference, Back to School Preview Day, Christmas Celebrations, Christmas, New Year's Eve and any major Events assigned by Leadership Annual Calendar.
