Surgical Education and Application Specialist

Your experience in advanced surgical support will help you succeed in this fantastic opportunity with the Medical Education team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! This role can be done remotely in the United States. Candidates must already have work rights in the U.S. to be considered.
The Surgical Education and Application Specialist offers surgical technical knowledge and education across Cochlear's entire portfolio of implantable devices and solutions', to internal and external stakeholders, in the treatment of hearing loss. They ensure devices are used in compliance with safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate has a surgical background in implantable technology and the healthcare industry, training and education and problem solving, technical and intraoperative expertise and a passion for learning and fostering proficiency and excellence in the surgical use of the company's devices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced surgical support, in person and virtually, for internal and external stakeholders, including during product launches.
Create, support, and deliver medical education sessions, across the product portfolio, on the use and handling of our products, in collaboration with the senior surgical education specialists and product managers.
Assist in the continuing education of new hires, post onboarding, through co-travel, and on-going communication to assist in the mastery of defined surgical skills by role.
Regularly review and provide feedback on team SOPs to ensure accuracy, enhance efficiency and maintain compliance.
Provide acute surgical and MRI related support through our on-call service. Adhere to established documentation standards and templates to maintain consistency and quality across all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Document customer interactions via Salesforce Health Cloud.
Document feedback and monitor complaints related to products.
Key Requirements
To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:
Bachelor's Degree required
4+ years of experience within the healthcare industry
3 - 5 years of surgical support experience with implantable hearing technologies is ideal
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficient in presenting and facilitation of complex information.
Travel is required at 50%
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must meet all credentialing requirements to obtain hospital and surgical center access.

Pay Range in the United States $115,000 - $130,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
