What does a Manufacturing Line Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Part of a high performing team that is engaged and committed to World Class Manufacturing performance, ensuring that the safety of our people always comes first, while building a line culture of continuous improvement with a focus on zero operational defects and losses. The incumbent has 24-hour accountability of the manufacturing line results including safety, quality, reliability, production attainment, productivity, and costs. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with the manufacturing line leadership team to ensure robust people management practices, build capability of the team, and create space for effective coaching and communications across all shifts; build and maintain plans and standards around safety and quality, develop 24-hour action plans, setting priorities and allocating resources to eliminate losses i.e., safety, quality, stops, breakdowns, planned downtime. Incumbent must ensure collaboration with manufacturing line leadership team to develop robust annual maintenance and long- term capital plans.

Responsibilities:
  • 24-hours multiple shift accountability for the business results in the areas of: safety, quality, production, delivery, cost and morale and capability of a production line organization. Ensures appropriate metrics are in place and monitored
  • Leads the manufacturing line Daily Direction Settings (DDS) meeting. Owns DDS cycle for the manufacturing line and provides coaching to team leaders in this process
  • Leads the execution of 90-day plans to eliminate losses using IWS tools and the line annual maintenance plan
  • Combines leadership & people skills to set short and long-term direction for the production line and team. Overall accountability for the staff who operate the production line
  • Owns the CIL, defect handling and incident elimination DMS's (Daily Management Systems)
  • Partner with line leadership team in establishing, maintaining, and improving effectiveness of the Daily Direction Settings (DDS), building capability of the line teams to enable a self-sufficient team
  • Provides development and coaching to Direct Reports to build and maintain a performance driven culture; leads by example. Oversees the recruiting, interview, and selection process to ensure a highly engaged, diverse workforce is in place

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Bachelor's Degree or technical certification in engineering or industrial maintenance preferred
  • 2+ years with Bachelor's Degree/technical certification required
  • 4+ years experience as manufacturing/operations supervisor required
  • 4+ years progressive experience in beverage production, maintenance, and/or warehouse operations preferred
  • Experience delivering sustainable continuous process improvement programs through engaging, developing, and empowering teams
  • Knowledge of data analytics and appropriate KPI's for measurement of manufacturing systems
  • Ability to manage and respond to issues when needed for a 24/7 operation.
