Job description

OVERVIEW:  The Senior Marine Documentation Specialist coordinates all aspects of the U.S. Guard Documentation process, but not limited to; filing, reviewing, processing, and sending of the papers. This process will be managed from start to finish by the Senior Marine Documentation Specialist. The team member will be responsible for making sound independent decisions in respect to U.S. Guard Documentation and state title/registration work.

KEY TASKS: 

  • Contact appropriate loan processor, salesperson, broker, dealer, buyers, sellers, and/or marine agent to coordinate closing information. 
  • Review title and ownership documentation for accuracy. 
  • Create Coast Guard and state specific documents to perfect lien for banks. 
  • Send completed USCG Documents up to Coast Guard in timely fashion. 
  • Drop packages off an appropriate tag office. 
  • Coordinate closing day and time with respective parties. 
  • Send completed packages to the USCG for processing in an expedited manner. 
  • Follow-up on outstanding titles and mortgages with Marine Agents/US Coast Guard/State. Make sure lien is perfected for the appropriate bank. 
  • Represents Newcoast when communicating with persons outside the company. Always presents a good impression of the company. 
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with fellow Newcoast team members, as well as customers, brokers, dealers, and other outside persons. 
  • Assist in projects or jobs outside the above-mentioned tasks when asked. 
  • The ability to make an independent choice, free from immediate director or supervision. 
  • Look for business opportunities and build.
