Staff Accountant - COAM Operations

Who: Accounting professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and at least 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
What: Perform professional accounting duties including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and support of monthly close processes.
When: Full-time position supporting ongoing financial operations.
Where: Atlanta, GA

Perform professional accounting activities supporting business operations. Responsibilities include preparing spreadsheets, auditing accounts, posting journal entries, and assisting finance leadership with assigned accounting tasks.Key Responsibilities
  • Review and balance general ledger integration files (licensing, daily activity, etc.)
  • Prepare and maintain accounting and financial reports (AR, AP, revenue, expenses)
  • Maintain records for miscellaneous deposits
  • Process licensing refunds and voids
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries into the automated accounting system
  • Research and resolve moderate accounting discrepancies
  • Assist with monthly financial close and preparation of schedules
  • Track, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Support accounting system implementations or conversions as needed
  • Respond to internal inquiries and provide financial information as requested
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 1 year accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations preferred
  • Experience with automated accounting systems preferred
