Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a Tax Manager with Energy experience to join our growing firm. This Tax Manager provides federal tax compliance and planning services to Weaver’s Energy clients. An Energy Tax Manager will develop advanced knowledge in this niche while training and mentoring other staff members.   

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license
  • 5 + years of experience in public accounting 
  • A thorough understanding of individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp returns, research, and general business planning knowledge
  • Technical expertise in tax planning and execution for Energy clients

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
