You will be working on the Lower Thames Crossing, a major UK infrastructure project connecting Kent and Essex, reducing congestion and creating significant new green space, supported by a diverse and inclusive team.

We are currently looking for a Project Engagement Manager who will lead prompt, collaborative engagement with stakeholders, communities and road users, building positive relationships with energy, resilience and a can-do approach.

As the Project Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Liaise effectively with local stakeholders, communities, businesses and other interested parties, building strong and constructive relationships that support the successful delivery of the scheme
  • Work collaboratively with neighbouring LTC Delivery Partners, particularly BMJV (Tunnel), to coordinate communications and engagement activity and ensure a consistent approach
  • Contribute to both formal and informal communications across all phases of the scheme's development and construction, including responses to enquiries, complaints and stakeholder correspondence
  • Support the delivery of a wide range of engagement activities, including drafting newsletters and notifications, preparing public information, exhibition and visitor centre materials, social media content, and attending stakeholder meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stakeholder records, provide active support to the scheme's Social Value plan, and assist the Engagement and wider project teams as required

We are looking for:

  • Membership of, or progress towards, a qualification with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or an equivalent recognised professional body
  • Demonstrable knowledge of, or familiarity with, major infrastructure projects and the environments in which they are delivered
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage tasks accurately, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, coordinate activities and manage competing demands effectively
  • Proven ability to engage, communicate and build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
