Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in the field of roadway design, civil/site engineering, land survey, construction inspection and more? Come join NextGenQk4 and explore the possibilities!
Qk4 is an engineering consultant firm that leads the way when providing planning, environmental, transportation, civil/site, construction engineering and inspection, land survey and right of way solutions for public and private clients. Our staff brings creative, innovative answers to each project that results in better communities for the people who live in them.
2027 NextGenQk4 Co-op Intern positions are open to students enrolled in college-level academic programs related to the work we perform. As a 2027 NextGenQk4 co-op/intern, you will be immersed with our professional teams performing routine aspects of engineering and survey work under close supervision. These opportunities are available in the following KY office locations: Louisville, Lexington, Somerset and Frankfort. Georgia office locations are Peachtree Corners and Marietta. Requirements
Successful candidates are:
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Enrolled in one of the following academic programs: Civil Engineering, Land Survey, Landscape Architecture, GIS, or related field.
  • Open and available to work during Spring and Summer rotations Spring: January-April 2027 and Summer May-August 2027
  • Provide support to construction engineering and inspection staff when needed.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ready to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel software packages.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation is preferred.
