Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to join the ITAM team. This role is focused on leveraging AI and automation capabilities within ServiceNow SAM Pro and HAM Pro to modernize and streamline software and hardware asset management workflows. The ideal candidate is curious about emerging technologies, eager to apply automation to reduce manual work, and passionate about clean data, compliance, and continuous improvement.  This is an excellent opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be graduate in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field who wants to build a career at the intersection of ITAM, AI/automation, and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI & Automation Workflow Development
    • Design, build, and support automation workflows using AI Tools and ServiceNow and to improve Predictive Intelligence.
    • Assist in implementing ML-based software and hardware normalization to improve data accuracy in SAM Pro and HAM Pro.
    • Identify manual, repetitive ITAM tasks and propose automation opportunities (e.g., asset intake, reconciliation, retirement workflows).
    • Collaborate with senior analysts and ServiceNow developers to test, refine, and deploy automation use cases.
  • Software License Compliance & Entitlement Management
    • Support software license compliance activities, including entitlement tracking, reconciliation, and true-up analysis.
    • Maintain accurate publisher, product, and entitlement records within SAM Pro.
    • Assist in preparing for internal audits and vendor software audits (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
    • Monitor license consumption trends and flag risks or optimization opportunities.
  • Reporting, Dashboards & KPIs
    • Build and maintain ServiceNow reports and Performance Analytics dashboards for ITAM leadership.
    • Track and report on key ITAM KPIs (e.g., license compliance rate, hardware lifecycle status, automation ROI, data quality metrics).
    • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
    • Support recurring executive reporting cadences and ad hoc data requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently completing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT-related role (internship, co-op, or significant academic project experience will be considered).
  • Foundational understanding of IT Asset Management principles (software and hardware lifecycles, licensing basics, CMDB concepts).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow (through coursework, internships, hands-on labs, or certifications).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Eagerness to learn AI/automation tools and apply them to real-world business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in software and hardware support in a help desk or Tier 2 support role.
  • Coursework aligned with Information Technology, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
  • Internship experience with an IT Asset Management team or organization, demonstrating familiarity with ITAM processes.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow SAM Pro, HAM Pro, Flow Designer, or Virtual Agent.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts as applied to enterprise workflows (normalization, predictive intelligence, chatbots).
  • Familiarity with software publishers' licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, SAP, Oracle, IBM).
  • Experience with data sources feeding ITAM (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Jamf, SAP, discovery tools).
  • Certifications (Any of the Following Are a Plus):
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow CIS - SAM or HAM
  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • IAITAM certifications (CSAM, CHAMP, CAMP)
  • Cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, or similar)
  • Any other IT, computer, or cybersecurity-related certifications that demonstrate technical foundation relevant to ITAM

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
