CNC Machine Operator II – 2nd Shift
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 PM–3:30 AM
Training: 1st Shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) for approximately 90 days
Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hr + 7.5% Shift Differential
Position Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm | Onsite
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC grinding and machining equipment while producing precision components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC grinding and machining equipment
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators
  • Make minor program adjustments and machine offsets
  • Set up and use gauge heads and inspection equipment
  • Dress grinding wheels and replace diamonds
  • Deburr finished parts and prepare for next operations
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Read and follow work instructions and process sheets
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • CNC setup experience and ability to make minor program adjustments
  • Experience with precision measuring tools and hand tools
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience with tight-tolerance machining preferred
