CNC Machine Operator
Location: Newport News, VA
Shift: (1st shift) Monday - Friday; 7am - 3:30pm OR (3rd shift) Sunday - Friday; 11pm - 7am
Type: Contract to Hire
About the Company: Our client is a leader in custom precision Sheetmetal manufacturing on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
* Use CNC machine to bend sheet metal ;
* Use CNC machine to insert hardware in sheet metal;
* Join metal sheets together with spot welding machine;
* Set up, clean and maintain tooling;
* Check parts produced for dimensional accuracy;
* Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently;
* Material handling using forklift or pallet jack, and by hand;
* Count and stack finished parts;
* Deburr parts;
* Monitor quality during production;
* Maintain equipment & troubleshoot malfunctions;
* Other tasks as required;
* Follow company procedures and safety rules.
