Job Description

We are seeking CMT Technicians mid/late Spring 2026 to join our team on large multi-year projects. You will be a part of seasoned, highly qualified teams that perform geotechnical and materials engineering, Construction Materials Testing (CMT), and construction inspections on some of the most highly complex and transformational infrastructure projects in our region. Sign-on bonuses for qualified candidates, and bonuses available as certificates are obtained.

Core Responsibilities

  • Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Senior Engineer.

  • Travels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Midwest area with the potential for overnight and/or weekend as needed.

  • Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.

  • Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.

  • Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.

  • Performs field quality control tests of in place concrete.

  • Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.

  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and assists other departments as necessary.

  • Follows Atlas safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.

Youll thrive here if you have

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

  • 2+ years Construction or CMT experience a plus.

  • Willingness to learn and work any shift that is needed.

  • ICC or ACI certifications are a plus.

  • OSHA 10 a plus
