Job Summary
College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a full-time AMFT/ASW Therapist for our expanding Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The AMFT/ASW Therapist will lead therapeutic groups and provide minimal case management services. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing outpatient PHP team.

Shift Schedule:
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Active intern or license number registered with the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) or the Board of Psychology LMSW, LCSW, LAC, or LPC license required

  • A Level One Fingerprint Card is required

  • Preferably two years of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, terminology, and medical record charting

  • Strong group facilitation skills and experience

  • Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers card

  • Ability to complete de-escalation training within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Facilitate group treatment modalities within the program's scope of practice

  • Conduct initial assessments of new patients and develop initial treatment plans

  • Develop comprehensive master treatment plans using assessment data and input from the treatment team

  • Accurately document progress notes within 24 hours of service or by the next business day, referencing identified problems on treatment plans

  • Document incidents or unusual occurrences promptly

  • Complete discharge summaries for assigned patients in a timely manner

  • Demonstrate competency in working with adult patients (ages 18+), including completion of psychosocial assessments according to established guidelines

  • Assess the needs of adult patients and provide interventions to facilitate progression to the next stage of treatment
