Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Security Officer for the morning and night shifts. The Security Team is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all patients, visitors, and staff members at the hospital.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an on-site Security Officer preferred

  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required

  • Current Arizona (AZ) Guard Card required

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required within 30 days of hire

  • Working knowledge of general security operations, procedures, and related legal limitations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Job-Specific Duties:

  • Perform routine patrols of interior and exterior areas to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify identification and enforce access control policies

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations, following established protocols

  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and CPI strategies to manage disruptive or potentially violent behaviors

  • Assist in physical interventions and restraints when necessary, in accordance with policy and training

  • Document all incidents, observations, and actions in clear, accurate, and timely reports

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support a safe healthcare environment

  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report safety hazards or policy violations to appropriate personnel

  • Participate in required drills, ongoing training, and continuing education to maintain certifications and skills
