Description
The Groundskeeper, working under the direction of the Clubhouse Grounds Manager, maintains outdoor areas around the Clubhouse, tennis/racquets facility, Wellness Center/Cart Barn, pool, playground, roadsides, parking lot, and Golf Practice areas by mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and general cleanup using various tools and machinery to keep the grounds clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, requiring physical fitness and basic equipment knowledge. Additional duties may include snow removal and irrigation upkeep.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • mowing and trimming of turf
  • removal of leaves and weeds
  • maintaining cleanliness and safety of property
  • planting and trimming of bushes/trees
  • planting, watering, and maintaining seasonal plants and beds
  • creating and maintaining hardscapes
  • possible application of fertilizers/weed control

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • A high attention to detail and awareness
  • Ability to frequently bend and lift
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to adequately understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to work weekend mornings (every-other) and holidays (mainly just morning)
  • Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, a manual shift utility vehicle responsibly
  • Ability to drive golf cart responsibly
  • Requires visual focus adjustment, depth perception, and clear close/distant vision
  • Ability to use small engine landscaping equipment and hand tools

Education and Experience:
A full year of professional landscaping or groundskeeping experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently bend and lift.
Ability to work in all kinds of weather.
Carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances.
Driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
