Laerdal Labs is seeking a smart, motivated Cloud Ops Engineer who has a solid foundation in cloud operations and is looking to grow their career. You will work alongside a strong team of Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Cloud Ops Engineers helping develop, build, and deploy our industry-leading platform. As a member of the team, you'll be presented with new challenges and opportunities to learn as you help us build the best product in the industry.

Our software platform is a unique mix of technologies, as we firmly believe in using the best technology for the job. Our primary tech stack includes applications and services written in JavaScript, .NET Core, and Java, ranging from complex web applications to real-time video platforms. We manage much of our ecosystem using Terraform and the AWS CDK, and leverage many AWS products to operate a performant and available system.

We are searching for Cloud Ops Engineers who are excited to do more than just configure and maintain cloud systems. In this role, you will help support and improve our infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to a rapidly growing portfolio of services.

We simply love providing a consumer-level customer experience in healthcare, where all the complexities behind the scenes are just that: behind the scenes.

What we are looking for:

  • 1-3 years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure, DevOps, software engineering, or a related technical role
  • Some hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider
  • Familiarity with deploying, configuring, or supporting cloud-based applications
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts for modern applications
  • Exposure toAWS CDK,Terraform, CloudFormation, or another infrastructure-as-code tool
  • Experience with Docker or containerized applications
  • Comfort using JavaScript, Python, shell scripting, or another scripting language to automate tasks
  • Interest in learning how scalable,highly availablesystems are built and operated
  • Like the freedom and responsibility of owning whatyou'reworking on
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and a desire to share knowledge and collaborate with others
