Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Test Lead to spearhead the quality assurance strategy and execution for enterprise cloud migration initiatives. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing efforts for migrating applications and infrastructure from on-premises environments to AWS. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, strong leadership in QA processes, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, and project teams to ensure successful, high-quality cloud transitions.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for on-prem to AWS migration initiatives (pre-migration, migration, post-migration)
  • Lead and mentor QA team through all testing phases; manage resource allocation and team performance
  • Oversee functional, integration, performance, security, and data integrity testing across AWS environments
  • Validate AWS native services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS), microservices, and containerized applications
  • Test hybrid connectivity solutions (Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway) and network migration scenarios
  • Manage defect lifecycle, risk mitigation, and quality metrics reporting
  • Collaborate with AWS architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration
  • Provide testing insights and risk assessments to stakeholders and senior management

Who you are:
  • Minimum 14 years of Application Testing and 3 plus years as Lead
  • Proven experience leading testing efforts in on-prem to AWS cloud migrations.
  • Hands-on involvement in application/data/infrastructure migration testing.
  • Proven experience in on-premises to AWS migration testing projects
  • Experience with enterprise application and large-scale datacentre migrations
  • Experience managing QA teams (onshore/offshore) across multiple phases of a migration project.
  • Developed and implemented end-to-end test strategies for complex IT transformation programs.
  • Designed test plans covering system integration, functional, performance, and regression testing.
  • Experience in defining entry/exit criteria, test coverage, and risk-based testing approaches.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc., as they relate to test planning and validation.
  • Experience with automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under AWS migration timelines
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, Postman etc
Preferred
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
  • ISTQB Advanced Level certification
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
