Ace Hardware - Immediate Clothing Assistant Manager

The General Store, a beloved local establishment since 1946, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sporting Goods Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Ace Hardware brand, we offer a diverse range of departments including apparel, automotive, toys, and sporting goods. Join us in delivering outstanding service and becoming an integral part of our community.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide positive representation of the department
  • Proactively assist customers and solve problems
  • Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor with both customers and employees.
  • Ensure a professional and safe work environment
  • Assist with inventory management and merchandising
  • Assist the manager with all department operations and merchandising of Sporting Goods.
  • Manage the sporting goods department in the absence of the manager.
  • Work well with all departments throughout the store to accomplish all goals set forth.
Qualifications:
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • 18 years of age
  • High School or GED equivalent required
Benefits:
  • Flexible schedule with 40 hours minimum per week
