Job description

PrideStaff Financial is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager/Controller for a local investment management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and families.
We are seeking an autonomous, high-level accounting professional to immediately manage all day-to-day accounting operations across 10 offices with zero training required. The ideal candidate brings advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, alongside proven experience managing multi-entity reconciliations and full-cycle payroll for 100+ employees. You will own the general ledger, complete month-end closing, and ensure complete financial accuracy from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Independently execute all Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger maintenance, and manual/automated Journal Entries.
  • Multi-Entity Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for 15+ bank and credit card accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Payroll Administration: Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll via ADP for 104 employees, including tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
  • Month-End Close: Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for 10 regional offices, ensuring timely financial reporting.
  • Expense Management: Review, audit, and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Software & Data Management: Build advanced Excel models (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas) and maintain robust accounting records in QuickBooks.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of comprehensive full-charge accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to step into a multi-office environment with zero onboarding or functional training required.
  • Expert-level mastery of QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven proficiency processing payroll through ADP for 100+ staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
